Many of the vessels which fish for us are named after legendary Russian captains. The captain of any ship
is a key figure but in our business his skill can make all
the difference in securing a good catch.
More than 20 vessels fish for Ocean Trawlers, staying
at sea for months at a time.
Each is typically crewed by 30-40 people (although one
has a complement of more than 100). Below decks is a
fish factory: each is equipped with state of the art
equipment and highly skilled technicians.
Within six hours, each catch has been prepared, packaged and frozen.
